The Role

• Start Date: March 2026
• Compensation: $100 / hour (Contract)
• Commitment: ~10 hours / week
• Location: NYC-based (Preferred 1 day / week onsite)

As our Fractional People Ops Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and partner with the VP of Finance to serve as the "culture and compliance engine" of our team. This is a high-impact, part-time role for a professional who enjoys blending strategic HR design with hands-on execution.

The 4 Pillars of Responsibility

• Talent & Lifecycle: Manage full-cycle recruitment (sourcing to offers) and oversee the entire employee journey—from seamless Day 1 onboarding to quarterly performance reviews and offboarding.
• HR Operations & Systems: Serve as the primary Rippling (HRIS) administrator. Partner with the VP of Finance to manage benefits enrollment, 401k administration, and jurisdictional legal compliance.
• Culture & Engagement: Drive the "pulse" of the company. Manage Slack celebrations, lead bi-annual engagement surveys, and own the logistics and agendas for team events, offsites, and All-Hands meetings.
• Leadership & Facilities Support: Provide strategic insights to the CEO on org health. Act as onsite backup for facilities when needed and provide occasional support for CX (Customer Experience) during peak periods.

Who You Are

• NYC-Based: You are available for in-person presence to facilitate events and provide facilities backup.
• Rippling Proficient: You have prior experience managing an HRIS (ideally Rippling) and understand HR compliance.
• Strategic & Tactical: You can oscillate easily between high-level goal-setting with leadership and the granular details of event planning.
